Bruce's b+2 is one of the most horridly-abusable moves I've seen - reasonably long range, knocks down, unpunishable, leads to major, major damage on CH, mid: all a recipe for pain.ĭevil Jin is obscene in DR, with a new low able to be used pretty much wherever Jin's b+4 could be for oki in TTT, Devil's old ss+2, and the usual Mishima bullshit. Baek has a 100% combo (although it needs the opponent to be side-turned, this isn't two hard with Flamingo triple-SS) meaning that legions of wankers are jumping on the bandwagon, the way they did when Lee's infinites were discovered in T4. Lei and Panda/Kuma have been greatly improved, although Yoshimitsu, Hwoarang and Julia have all been pretty severely nerfed, despite being less-than-stellar in the previous versions of T5. Jack 5 is an absolute powerhouse aswell, although I haven't had much of a chance to check him out. Armour King is probably not as powerful as he was in TTT but he has some great stuff, and you can do some real damage just CH hunting with d+1,n+4 -> giant swing_tombstone. B (df+1 is like Nina's in 5.0, df+2 is unpunishable and leads to big damage, d+3+4 techs under deathfists and other horizontal mids and leads to over half a bar) Feng is still as nasty as ever, Dragunov has an obscene throwing game, and some guaranteed strings that really look like they shouldn't be. Heihachi is greatly improved as of DR, and seems like an absolute beast with plenty of blockstun locking Lili's certainly somewhere on the "too good" side of good, given that she's being toned down in ver. Bryan's b+1, despite no longer launching on hit, is still an advancing mid that gives advantage, and he still has plenty of other immensely good moves. Steve still has obscene priority and advantage on his poke strings, and an unpunishable power low. Reduced advantage on her df+1 greatly diminishes her pressure game and the ability to tech juggles ending in her uf+1 eliminates her absolutely stupid oki mixups afterwards.īryan and Steve have been likewise rebalanced, but to nowhere near the same extent.
